In celebration of the recognition by UNESCO of the historic 7th March 1971 Address by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the High Commission of Bangladesh in Ottawa has organized a Joy Rally. The venue, time and marching area details are as follows:

When should I send my passport for re-issue? 

 At least one month before expiry.

What is the fee for MRP passport, Re-issue and Visa / No-Visa? 

New MRP passport & Reissue: 150 CAD. No-Visa : 80 CAD. Visa: 100 CAD (for Single Entry, Tourist visa / Business visa ); 200 CAD for for Business Visa Multiple / Double Entry.

This is for URGENT notice to all Machine Readable Passport (MRP) applicants that for obtaining MRP passport from Bangladesh High Commission, Ottawa, the applicants MUST BOOK PRIOR APPOINTMENT by calling 613 236 0138 / 0139 (extn 221), or by online through this web site. Due to huge application volume, we no more accept applicants who come without prior appointment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regards.

Due to changing from hand-written to Machine Readable Visa (MRV) system, visa and no-visa delivery will henceforth take at least 10 (ten) business days plus the postal time as done by Canada Post. IMPORTANT NOTICE

1. Effective from 1st April, Machine Readable Visa (MRV) and Machine Readable No-Visa (NVR) are being processed by Bangladesh High Commission Ottawa. 

2. From 1st April, 2017 onward, applicants are being able to pay all consular fees by debit / credit card in Bangladesh High Commission.

3. This payment system applies to following services: 

  • MRP (Machine Readable Passport)
  • Machine Readable Visa (MRV) and No-Visa Required (NVR). 
  • Attestation of Powers of Attorney / Driver's License / Educational certificates. 
  • Birth Registration Certificate. 
  • Any sorts of payment to the High Commission as consular fee. 

 

Also, please note: 

Applicants sending their documents / papers / applications by post can make payments through bank draft / pay order. 

Special note: 

No cash payment or personal cheque will be accepted.
